LUMIS STUDIO · FOR FILMMAKERS

Make films that
respond to the audience.

A film that responds to its audience. Write the paths, connect your footage, and choose the moments where a reaction can change what happens next.

Your story comes first. You decide where it changes.
Main storyYour next possibility
YOUR STORY. THEIR REACTION.

You create every path. Lumis connects the experience.

Imagine a tense scene with two possible next moments. You write and film both. Lumis reads the viewer’s reaction at the moment you choose, then follows the path you designed. Camera off or reaction unclear? Your default story continues.

Lumis Studio brings the screenplay, visual story map and footage timing into one connected workspace.

FROM THE FIRST LINE TO THE FINAL FRAME

Write. Connect. Share.

01 / WRITE

Start with the story.

Write your screenplay or import a PDF or FDX. See the script and its scene map side by side. Edit a scene heading in either view and keep them connected. Build named branches without losing your Main story.

02 / PREPARE

Make every moment count.

Link footage to each scene. Mark a Surge Window where you want to read a reaction and a Surge Point where the story can change. Set final timing in Lumis Admin, then preview your Main story and branches.

03 / SHOWCASE

Give your work a home.

Create your filmmaker profile and channel. Publish prepared films to the collection, where audiences can discover your work.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
Do I need to write a whole new film?

No. Import an existing screenplay and build from it. Review the imported scene headings and formatting, then decide which moments could lead somewhere new.

Who decides how the story changes?

You do. You write and film the alternatives, connect the paths, and choose a fallback when the reaction is unclear or the camera is off. Lumis follows that design.

What are Surge Windows and Surge Points?

A Surge Window is the passage where you plan to read a reaction. A Surge Point is the moment where the story chooses its next path. Mark them in the screenplay, then set the final footage timing in Lumis Admin.

Can audiences watch without a camera?

Yes. Main is the complete version of the film. Your fallback settings keep the story moving when camera reactions are off or unclear.
